Bash at the Beach is back in 2010!

Bash at the Beach was formed in 2008 to provide Nebraska with competitive and well operated sand volleyball tournaments. The first annual tournament was held on September 20th 2008 at Spikes Beach Bar and Grill in Lincoln, NE. It was a one day tournament with only 6x6 coed competitions available. The tournament had a great turnout of over 200 players and many fans. There was over $1200 in cash prizes given out to the teams along with other prizes as well. Money was raised for the Optimist Childhood Cancer Campaign.

In 2009 Bash at the Beach expanded to two tournaments on May 30-31 and August 8-9 again at Spikes. For the August tournament Bash at the Beach added 2x2 Men and 2x2 Women with great success. During the tournament money was again raised for the Optimist Childhood Cancer Campaign and there was over $6000.00 in cash prizes given out in 2009. In 2009 Bash at the Beach had over 700 players registered.

In 2010, Bash at the Beach will have two tournaments on June 5-6 and August 7-8 at Spikes Beach Bar and Grill in Lincoln NE. We will be supporting local breast cancer survivors in the Lincoln area. This will be through the American Cancer Society and Lincoln’s Making Strides against Breast Cancer. Both tournaments will have t-shirts for sale for $15 and 100% of the profits will be going to the survivors and their families. Please make sure you pick up a shirt at each tournament in 2010!! Again this year there will be a 106.3 KFRX player’s party but it will be on Friday night before the tournament at Spikes. The pools will be drawn at 8pm at this party. Come out for food, drinks, see who is on your radar for the weekend and watch a little volleyball. Make sure you come out for this great event!!

Bash at the Beach IV Dates

Bash at the Beach tourament directors have announced that Bash at the Beach IV will again be held at Spikes Beach Bar and Grill on JUNE 5th and 6th 2010. 6x6 coed will be held on Saturday from 8am-10pm and 4x4 coed (at least one female) will be on Sunday from 8am-5pm. Registration will start on April 1st. Bash at the Beach V will be held on August 7-8 2010.
